This is the operator's stated target, not a confirmed opening date. Wave pool timelines move; we update this page when the target changes.
Tracked product by product. A starting price is not a complete price, units are always stated, and anything we can't verify is marked as such.
Bachelor parties, birthdays, corporate offsites, family crews, Ocean Kamp can work for all of them. Planning a group trip? We'll help coordinate directly with the pool.
Ocean Kamp is at Oceanside, California, USA (3 miles from the coast).
Ocean Kamp runs on Endless Surf, a pneumatic system from Richmond. Endless Surf uses a centralised pneumatic swell generator combined with a segmented reef bathymetry that can be tuned to break left, right or peaky. A software layer allows more than 40 distinct wave programs, from ankle-slappers to head-high barrels, in a single operating day.
Originally slated for an early 2026 opening, Ocean Kamp was reset in 2026 with a fresh construction plan and a pre-LA28 target. The 3.5-acre pool is designed around customizable waves, including split A-frames and a left point break, and sits inside a wider mixed-use plan with 700 homes, a 300-room hotel and 134,000 square feet of commercial space.
The current target is completion before the LA 2028 Olympics. The earlier early-2026 opening date has been superseded.
The same operating team as Palm Springs Surf Club. The wave tech is a pneumatic platform, with the supplier not yet publicly named.
No openings listed at Ocean Kamp today. Surf parks hire coaches, lifeguards, wave operators, and hospitality staff in seasonal waves, so it is worth checking the board again.
