Austin Surf Club is at Austin, Texas, USA.
Austin Surf Club runs on Kelly Slater Wave Co. (KSWC), a hydrofoil system from Los Angeles. A submerged hydrofoil sled is pulled down a track at roughly 18 mph. The moving foil displaces water, and a precisely contoured lake bottom shapes that displacement into a rifling, section-linking barrel that runs the full length of the pool. Because each pass is one giant wave, the pool produces ~15 waves an hour, the lowest volume of any tech, and the longest, most perfect ride.
Austin Surf Club is Discovery Land Company's first surf project, using Kelly Slater Wave Co. hydrofoil tech. Construction has continued across 2024 and 2025, with a possible late 2026 opening and an eye on 2027 for the full club and residential build-out. Memberships have been reported to run above $1 million.
No. It is a private Discovery Land Company club. Access is via property ownership and paid membership.
