Al Ain Adventure runs on SurfKing, a pneumatic system from Glasgow. SurfKing is the pneumatic wave system installed at Al Ain Adventure in the UAE. Compressed air chambers along the pool's deep end displace water in sequence, generating powerful travelling waves. The Al Ain installation is famous for its 3.3m top setting, among the tallest artificial waves ever produced.
Al Ain Adventure, formerly Wadi Adventure, opened in 2012 at the foot of Jebel Hafeet in the garden city of Al Ain, about 90 minutes from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Its pneumatic surf pool produces one of the tallest artificial waves ever ridden, a 3.3m face that made it a pilgrimage for pros long before the modern wave pool boom. The park also runs whitewater rafting and kayaking channels.
