This is the operator's stated target, not a confirmed opening date. Wave pool timelines move; we update this page when the target changes.
Tracked product by product. A starting price is not a complete price, units are always stated, and anything we can't verify is marked as such.
Bachelor parties, birthdays, corporate offsites, family crews, DSRT Surf can work for all of them. Planning a group trip? We'll help coordinate directly with the pool.
Corporate events
Can DSRT Surf host a corporate event?
DSRT Surf is opening soon and offers private and group bookings; full event capabilities are still being confirmed.
Corporate Value is preliminary, full public rate card not yet released
Corporate Value is preliminary: DSRT advertises sessions from $60/hr plus taxes and fees, but a complete rate card has not been published, so private and per-participant cost cannot be fairly scored yet.
DSRT Surf is at Adjacent to Desert Willow Golf Resort, Palm Desert, California, USA.
DSRT Surf runs on Wavegarden Cove, a electro-mechanical system from Aizarnazabal. The Cove uses 46+ independent electro-mechanical modules along one wall. Each module pushes a submerged panel; sequencing the pushes creates a travelling swell that peels down the reef bay. Software controls the panel firing pattern, so a Cove can shift from a mellow Waikiki roller to an overhead barrel between waves.
Developed by Beach Street Development on land adjacent to the City of Palm Desert's Desert Willow Golf Resort, DSRT Surf broke ground in 2023. The project pairs a full Wavegarden Cove reef bay with a Trilogy resort hotel, villas, restaurants and a pro shop, targeting an early summer 2026 opening.
Up to 70 surfers can share the Cove in a single session, with capacity scaled across the day to hit up to 1,200 sessions.
Yes. The Cove is the anchor of a resort with a 139-room hotel and 57 villas, so you can walk from your room to the reef bay.
No openings listed at DSRT Surf today. Surf parks hire coaches, lifeguards, wave operators, and hospitality staff in seasonal waves, so it is worth checking the board again.
