The short answer: a wave pool corporate event costs anywhere from about $119 per person for public sessions to $110,000-plus per day for full private access at Surf Ranch. The most common corporate products, private sessions and lagoon rentals, run $1,250 to $3,000 per hour at venues that publish pricing. Below: what each product actually is, verified example prices, and how to budget without getting surprised.
The eight products you are actually choosing between
What moves the price
- ~Day and time: Waco Surf's published private tiers run $1,250 to $3,000 per hour on the same lagoon, purely on the calendar.
- ~Peak vs off-peak: Revel prices the same private lagoon $500 apart on this alone.
- ~Wave setting: advanced settings often price above beginner ones where tiered pricing exists.
- ~Inclusions: equipment, coaching, food and beverage, and lodging can double the headline number.
- ~Taxes and fees: some venues quote plus taxes and fees; ask for the out-the-door figure.
What is actually included
Ask for these five line items in writing before comparing any two quotes: surf time and wave settings, boards and wetsuits, coaching or lifeguard staffing, food and beverage, and taxes plus fees. A $2,500 lagoon hour with nothing included can cost more than a $3,000 session that includes coaching and equipment.
Budget frameworks by group size
- ~10 to 20 people: one to two private hours plus a deck dinner. Planning range: $5,000 to $15,000 depending on venue and day.
- ~20 to 60 people: a half day with rotating heats, food and non-surfer programming. Planning range: $15,000 to $50,000.
- ~60-plus people: full buyout territory. Planning range: $50,000 and up.
- ~Apex executive format: Surf Ranch full-day private access from $110,000-plus per day, lodging and chef program included in the format.
These frameworks are planning ranges built from verified public prices, not quotes. Dates, inclusions and venues move real numbers meaningfully.
Event planner questions, answered
Is DSRT Surf really $60 for a corporate event?
No. $60 per hour plus taxes and fees is the advertised individual starting price ahead of opening. Group and corporate products are not yet published, so no corporate budget should be built on $60.
Why is Surf Ranch so much more expensive?
It sells exclusivity, not hours: the whole property, one group, lodging and a chef program, roughly 15 waves per hour on the longest man-made wave on earth. It is a different product category, and its 5.4 WPP Corporate Score reflects that value equation, not quality.
Are there hidden costs?
The usual suspects: equipment rental, coaching, photography, catering minimums, and taxes and fees on advertised-plus pricing. Our venue pages list what each verified price includes.
