Surf Ranch's Private Weekends Get a New Setting

Surf Ranch — the original Kelly Slater Wave Co. pool in Lemoore — has run essentially the same wave since it opened: 50 seconds, two mid-length barrel sections, one bowl. This month it added a new setting to its private-weekend menu, and it's the first meaningful format change in years.

The new setting: "Rocket"

• ~35-second ride instead of the standard 50. Trades length for repetition.
• ~One heavier barrel section, no mid-wave bowl.
• ~Sled runs faster — steeper takeoff, thicker lip.
• ~Roughly 40% more waves per hour than the standard setting.
