Heroes Paradise — a veterans-focused resort on the Caribbean coast — quietly became the first commercial site to open the ADG EpicSurf, a deep-water standing wave engineered specifically to let surfers ride real shortboards, not softtops or wake-style hybrids.
Why EpicSurf matters
The FlowRider category made standing waves famous, but the ride is a soft-board sheet-flow — closer to skimboarding than surfing. EpicSurf's deep-water column produces a wave with an actual pocket, a real face, and a tube section on the highest setting. Your normal shortboard works.
- ~Footprint: 30 m × 15 m. Small enough for a hotel courtyard.
- ~Wave face: adjustable from waist-high beginner to overhead barrel.
- ~Session model: 15-minute time slots, single rider on the wave, unlimited attempts.
- ~Board-friendly: no reef, no rocks, no wax needed.
