The Endless Surf platform advertises 40-plus programmable wave settings. In practice, most operators publish 12–15 of them at any given time. We spent three days at O2 SURFTOWN MUC riding every named setting on the live menu. This is our ranked take.
Tier S: book these first
- ~"Trestles" — overhead right with an air section. The best pool wave in Germany.
- ~"Point" — long peeling right, chest-high, made for practicing rail turns.
- ~"Barrel" — head-high, throws a real 2-second cover-up.
Tier A: worth a session
- ~"Reef" — punchy right, short but critical.
- ~"Wedge" — A-frame peak, good for switching feet.
- ~"Longboard" — mellow, slow, ideal for cross-stepping.
Tier B: fine, but not the reason to fly to Munich
- ~The 20-plus beginner variants are functionally the same wave with different foam-flat lengths — great for schools, forgettable for anyone else.
